Dr. Brian Alman
Dr.Brian Alman is one of the world's
leading authorities in the field of mind-body healing. He has worked for more than
thirty years bringing his powerful self-healing techniques to tens of thousands
of people in the areas of weight loss, wellness, and stress management. And through
his books, speaking engagements, TV and radio appearances, CDs, videos, and websites,
he has reached hundreds of thousands more people and helped them achieve amazing
personal growth.
Dr. Alman is the author of Keep it Off, which was positively reviewed in the Kaiser
Permanente Medical Journal, The New York Times Book Review, and by Deepak Chopra.
Dr. Almans latest book, The Voice, details his revolutionary methods for helping
people overcome their life-long physical and emotional challenges.
Through his company TruSage International, Dr. Alman has been delivering weight
loss and wellness mobile support solutions via phone calls for fifteen years to
people all over the world. Dr. Almans interactive, personalized calls have been
a key part of Kaiser Permanente San Diegos Department of Preventive Medicine, and
he has also developed phone applications for Qualcomm and Great Call, a senior mobile
phone company.
Dr. Alman has worked with many celebrities and professional athletes. He has taught
at the University of Paris, the University of California, the Harvard Medical School,
as well as in India, Germany, Holland, Japan, and many other countries. He has appeared
on CNN, NBC, CBS, and The Boomer Show, and on Sirius Radios Psychiatry Talk Show.
He has written for The Readers Digest and Sunday Parade Magazine. And he is a contributor
in If I Were Your Daddy, This Is What Youd Learn, by Julia Espy. Also, four times
a year he joins John Gray, Paul Scheele, Paul Chek, Mark Victor Hansen, and Jack

Vincent Felitti, MD
Founder--The California Institutes
of Preventive Medicine
Vincent J. Felitti, MD is
the Director and founder of the Institutes. Dr. Felitti founded the Department of
Preventive Medicine for Kaiser Permanente in San Diego 26 years ago, and served
as Chief of Preventive Medicine until March 2001.
Under his leadership, the Health Appraisal Division of the Department of Preventive
Medicine provided Comprehensive Medical Evaluation to over 1,000,000 (one million)
persons.
During Dr. Felitti's career, the health risk abatement programs expanded from three
(weight loss, smoking cessation and stress management) to a wide range of cutting-edge
risk abatement programs offered to over 1,000 patients per month at one facility.
Paul Hedtke, Sr. Director Business
Development
QUALCOMM Health and Life Sciences
Mr. Hedtke spent 17 years
in the aerospace and military electronics industry in positions ranging from engineer,
to engineering project management, to product management to business development
while working on a wide range of advanced aerospace and military electronics systems
R&D projects. Paul joined QUALCOMM in 1998 and has served as project leader on numerous
product and business development initiatives.
More recently, he led the development of QUALCOMM’s QConnect “managed data service”
offering and developed QUALCOMM’s first health care associated revenue producing
business in 2003 when QUALCOMM began providing wireless connectivity services to
health care service companies.
He is currently leading a QUALCOMM strategic initiative to bring “health related”
services to consumers using the cell phone platform as the primary User Interface
to such services. One of the major challenges to achieving compelling solutions
that will be perceived by users as adding value to their lives is to build a user
experience that is persuasive and “sticky”.
Chuck McDonough
Chief Technology Officer, Proximiti
Communications, Inc.
Charles W. McDonough is a
co-founder of Proximiti. Proximiti is a communications company and software developer
that integrates intelligent software with communications services to create innovative
solutions. At Proximiti, he has been instrumental in the creation of the powerful
communications platform that is used by TruSage International to deliver its groundbreaking
services.
Prior to Proximiti, he had served as Senior Vice President--Chief Technology Officer
for Z-Tel Technologies, Inc. since its founding. A key part of his responsibilities
at Z-Tel was to develop innovative communication services, and while there he oversaw
the development of Z-Tel's Personal Voice Assistant, which won three prestigious
national technology innovation awards.
Before his tenure at Z-Tel, Mr. McDonough was a partner at Andersen Consulting LLP
(now Accenture), where he worked for 23 years. During his tenure with Andersen,
he lead client engagements with many Fortune 500 firms and also held a number of
management and industry leadership positions within the firm.
Stephen Montgomery, PhD
Author
Dr. Stephen Montgomery holds
a Ph.D. in English and American Literature, and is an award winning English teacher,
a consultant for the Educational Testing Service, and a National Endowment for the
Humanities fellow. He is also Dr. David Keirsey’s research assistant, and was editor-in-chief
of Keirsey’s best-sellers on personality types, Please Understand Me (1978) and
Please Understand Me II (1998).
Dr. Montgomery’s own books are three volumes of The Pygmalion Project (1988, 1990,1993)
and two editions of People Patterns (2002, 2011). Dr. Montgomery has worked with
Dr. Brian Alman for more than twenty-five years and was the co-writer of Dr. Alman’s
two most recent books, Keep It Off (2004) and The Voice (2010).
Dr. Montgomery and his wife Janene have been married for forty-three years and have
twin sons, both of whom are recently married and embarking on careers in literature
and astrophysics. Dr. Montgomery and his wife divide their time between homes in
Del Mar, California and Carmel-by-the Sea, California.
David Patrick
Chief Executive Officer, Apperian,
Inc.
With over 25 years of senior
executive experience in the software industry, David brings a tremendous wealth
of experience in enterprise products, organizational growth, and success in creating
and growing technology companies.
David has an extensive background in the software industry and most recently, he
was CEO of xkoto, a cross platform enterprise database virtualization software company
which was acquired by Teradata. Prior to xkoto David was VP & General Manager at
Novell, where he managed the $450 million division that included Novell's SUSE Linux
and Netware operating systems, collaboration products and a number of emerging open
source technologies. David joined Novell in 2003, as part of the acquisition of
Ximian, a leading Linux and open source software company, where he was President
and CEO.
Before Ximian, David served as President of worldwide sales and operations for The
Learning Company, an $800 million consumer software company acquired by Mattel in
1999 serving as President of worldwide sales and operations of Mattel Interactive.
Ron Posner
Venture Partner, Saints VC
Mr. Posner has been a leader
in the consolidation of the high technology, internet and software industries for
more than 30-years. He has a strong track record as CEO, investor and board member
of improving market values and liquidity results for public and private companies
in record time frames.
He started his career at The Coca-Cola Company and Xerox Data Systems in sales and
marketing roles. He then led two successful liquidity events in the computer services
business in the 70's. From the early 80’s to the mid-90’s, he led consolidation
and turnarounds in the PC and enterprise software industries. Mr. Posner then participated
in the growth and consolidation of the internet industry, starting in the mid-90’s,
as a start-up investor/board member in such companies as Match.com, Spinner.com,
NetAngels/Firefly, Rival Networks, Flipside.com, Click2learn and www.iwin.com.
Recently Mr. Posner became a Venture Partner at Saints VC (www.saintsvc.com), focused
on secondary venture transactions in Europe and Asia. He also serves on the advisory
boards of IDG Ventures (San Francisco), Next Stage Ventures (Paris), Palace Ventures
(London), and Minerva/Sabanci Ventures (Turkey). He was the first E.I.R. at Mayfield
Fund in 1988.
